  1. The Pentagon Memorial was different in person than what I expected. To see rows and rows for memorials stretched out over a lengthy timeline was overwhelming. The reflection of the sun on oneside showed the flow of like when reflecting on the water while looking at the other side showed just stone cold metal with no life. It was hard walking across the rocks sounded like bones crunching. Very emotional!-Tameria

    1. Tameria, I agree with you. The Pentagon Memorial was definitely different than in my presentation. Understanding what each detail is for was one thing, but actually being there and experiencing the crunch of the gravel and the soothing sound of water made all the difference. Very overwhelming, like you said. I didn't think at the time that the gravel sounded like bones crunching but now after you say that I realize it really did come off that way.

  2. The Pentagon Memorial was extremely overwhelming. 9/11 was something that happened in my life time and I got to see how it affected everyone around me.I am glad we got to visit this memorial. I felt sad while I was there, especially for all the young ones that lost their live's. What touched me the most was when I sat at the very back of the memorial, looked out to all the benches and pictured the benches as the actual people that died standing there instead.

    1. I remember being in school and we all went to the classroom that had a TV in it to watch the news of the 9/11 attacks. I remember exactly what I was thinking at that time also. I think that's what made this memorial emotional for me, the fact that I remember exactly where I was, what I was doing and what I was thinking.

  3. Defintly, this was my favorite memorial of all. This memorial is well desinged and it is a heart touching. Even though I am not an American citizen, but it is just very sad and eomtional to stand at place was attacked by terrorist and inoccent people died. I was mad too because some of the terrorist were Saudi. They reuin the good image of Saudis in that time which made some Saudi and Muslim people treated differntly because of those crazy people who claimed to be Muslims!

  4. For me, this memorial was kind of surreal. It was so sensory: the crunch of the gravel, the leafs in the wind, the sound of the fountains and the constant sound of planes overhead. This was definitely one you have to see in person tif you really want to get the full effect of the memorial's message.

  5. This is the memorial that was the most surprising to me, the presentation definitely didn't prepare me for how it would effect me. It made me think about how many people lost their lives that day. It made me think how many children lost their lives that day and how many children won't be able to see their parents any more.
