DAY ONE - White House

Glowing beacon of democracy.

Tough to capture the sites in the dark, but they certainly tried.

  1. This night was exciting to feel the energy from those around us who were there to see the White House. The excitement continued when someone came through in a motorcade and the Secret Service was out blocking off the street just before this shot was taken.-- Tameria

    1. I also found it very neat that we got to witness the motorcade and secret service. It makes me wonder if that is normal or if we got to see something that rarely happens? I white house itself was underwhelming, but very neat! Defiantly a place I would like to go back and visit in the daytime!

  2. I expected the White house to be bigger but that did not take away from the excitement of seeing it. The South Korean president driving by us in a motorcade added to the excitement. South Korea is on my list of places that I need to visit.

    1. I feel the same, I think that seeing it was cool, but I always thought it would be a bigger deal if that makes sense.. And Eric's other IS course is going to South Korea next semester, Brandon!

    2. I totally agree Brandon, so much smaller than I thought it would be! It was still neat to be able to see the White House though.

  3. I liked seeing the White House, but it was definitely a little underwhelming. I wish I would have gone over to the original protesting lady and talked to her/ found out what she was protesting and got a photo with her!
